Sis photoshoot
Rebekah and I were home taking care of the babies, they had just settled down for a nap, and we were really bored. And Rebekah kept wanting to watch a movie. I hate watching movies when I'm bored though. I guess because it feels like I should be doing something.
Well anyways one of us had this bright idea to go take pictures in the 95 degree weather. Bright huh? We were steaming! But it was fun. And here is the fruit of our labors. :P

I'm not sure if I like edited or non-edited better of this one.
There are so many more! But these are the best.
We took these with our blogs in mind so tell us your favorite. :)

Happy Monday!
It has been a BUSY last few days. Lets see, Thursday I had to get up at six thirty to go with mom to St. Louis to do some shopping. And I got a cute swim suit. Do you know how hard it is to find a modest swimsuit that's not obscenely out rages or is a t-shirt? It's difficult.
Then Friday I had to get up at 6:30 for a very fun day with my family, cousin, and a couple neighbors. We went we shot guns, we repelled off a cliff, and we went swimming. It was a ton fun hanging out with my bro before he had to leave. Then Saturday, I had to get up at six so we could head over Johnson's shut-ins with my aunt and two of my cousins (and my family). It was a ton of fun. If you have never been there you have to go. No true missourian has never gone to Johnson's shut-ins.
Then we got home just in time for Rebekah and I to get ready and head off to the dance. So much fun. We didn't get home till like 11:30. So yeah, I'm pretty tired. Then Stephen left Yesterday to go back to Georgia. :( We'll miss him.Jennifer got some pictures off Johnson's shut-ins but their on her camera. So I might get them eventually and I might not. We'll see.

The endless-possibilities flower rosette
Here is another DIY tutorial for ya!
The finished product:
It's really simple too. :)
Supplies you will need:
Fabric (anything works from cotton to old sheets or old t-shirts. You would not believe the things you can make with old t-shirts.)
Thread to match the fabric
Large circular object (to trace around. This will be how big around you want your flower. I used 2 in.)
Medium circular object: about 1/4" to 1/2" smaller (I found that some kind of bottle cap works great!)
Small circular object: about 1" in diameter
And if you can't find enough "caps" then since you only need to trace the medium and the small one once I just used a math compass for those. And it worked fine.
Process
1.Trace the large circle on your material 9 times
6. place it onto another large circle like so... using your needle and thread sew the very tip onto the circle. Make sure you go through all layers. And try to sew as close to the tip as you can so it will fluff nicely. (maybe a little closer than I did. This one didn't have the best turn out.)

Process
1.Trace the large circle on your material 9 times
2.Trace the medium 1 time
3. and the Small once.
4.Cut out all your circles
4.Cut out all your circles
5. Take one large circle and fold it into quarters
6. place it onto another large circle like so... using your needle and thread sew the very tip onto the circle. Make sure you go through all layers. And try to sew as close to the tip as you can so it will fluff nicely. (maybe a little closer than I did. This one didn't have the best turn out.)
7. Take three more of the large circles and fold them into quarters and continue to lay them out and sew. To keep the flower looking nice and round, keep all the openings on the quarters facing the same direction. After all four have been lain out and sewn, sew a few times between them.
8. Fold another large circle into quarters and lay into directly on top of one of the bottom quarters and angle 90 degrees. Sew. (I thought I got a picture of it I guess not. Sorry.)
9. Repeat with remaining 3 large circles. Remember to keep all the openings facing the same way. Sew a few times between.
10. Take the medium circle and fold it in half. Then roll up into like a cone.
11. Place "cone" on the middle of your flower and sew the tip to the middle. It should perk up when your done.
12. Flip the rosette over and sew the small circle on the bottom to cover up your stitches. I didn't do this because I had other plans for this flower. But, this is what it will look like if you do.
If you want to attach this to a hair clip, headband, necklace you can sandwich in between the circle and the rosette.
And fluff it.
This one didn't fluff up as much as I wanted it to. I don't know if that is because of how I sewed it or the material or what. But, I made one out of an old t-shirt and it worked fine. Maybe it is just because it was the first one I made.
There is so much you can do with this simple rosette. Hence the name. Endless-possibilities flower rosette.I made a headband with my second one. Just used a hot glue gun to attach it to a headband from wal-mart. Whatchya think?
Simple yet beautiful. I Love it!
Have fun!,

Guess What!?!
I got my permit! Oh, yeah! I look forward to 40 hours of driving. Those of you who have a permit know what I'm talking about...... Okay so 40 hours is a little intimidating...... between me and you I'd try to avoid driving while I'm on the road....Alright confidence gone.

Celebration of independence
The fourth was great! We went to Ash's about noon with lots of food and our swimsuits and had a blast! Since it's hard to describe fun with words I'll just give you some pictures.
Yep it was fun jumping, swimming, playing chicken, wrestling you know all the things you can't do at a public pool. ;)
No their not dancing
And of course we can't go a fourth of July without a homemade bomb. This year with Stephen gone it was Ben and Derek. I got a video but I kind of jumped at the end.
Sabrina and Malachi were pretty good pals too.
And then after Ashlee's, Jenn, Tommy, Rebekah, Silas, and I (and the babies) went to see the fireworks at Rolla Lions Club.
This was my first time taking pictures of fireworks. I think they turned out pretty well though.
So yep that wrapped up our amazing fourth of July. (we got some fireworks yesterday though just waitin' on the rain.)
Thank you to all our troops who gave their lives for our freedom. Including the ones who are still active. Thanks a ton!

Updo, tangle-free headphones
Guess what!?! I finally can post this awesome craft that I have been wanting to post forever! So here it is:
Their so easy too. They just take a little while. The supplies you will need:
A pair of headphones, some embroidery floss, scissors, and some clear fingernail polish
I think you should probably learn how to do the "chinese staircase", it's a friendship bracelet technique, before you do this. I am going to try to explain it. But we will see how that goes. :P
4. Now take your strip of "tape" and tape the knotted end of your string to the top of your earbud.
6. Take one string and separate it from the rest.
7. Put the end over the rest. And I kind stick my finger here just help.
8. Stick the end up through the loop you made and slide the knot up to the top.
9. And repeat that.......and keep knotting......and knotting.... It's a long process. But I think it's definitely worth it. (sorry this picture is so blurry. :( I was sick)
10. Then when you get to the end of a section cut your string and cover it with clear fingernail polish to keep it from fraying.
And TA DA! Beautiful tangle-free headphones.
If my chinese staircase tutorial doesn't make since you can look at a different one here on Wikihow.
If you haven't done it before I would practice on a bracelet before you cut all that string because my first bracelet.......yeah, didn't turn out well.
I LOVE my headphones now.......That's weird the lime-green looks kind of ugly in this picture.... Anyways
until next post, Happy fourth!! (man, I can't believe there is a ban on fireworks! The fourth without fireworks!?! Unheard of!)

1. First you want at least three strands of string. They can be all the same color or different colors or however many colors you want. (I used blue and lime-green. FYI two of my favorite colors :) You want at least three strings though.
Cut a little more than you need rather than too little. If you cut each string 3-4 times longer than the area you want to cover than, that should give you a pretty good estimate. Remember too long is better than too short.
2. Knot one end
3. Now you want to take a piece of tape, which for some reason there wasn't a single piece to be found in the whole house that day (don't ask me how that happened) so I took a label off of a fingernail polish bottle and it worked great! See? Sometimes you have to think outside the box. Like taco bell says. Mmmmm tacos. :P Okay moving on.4. Now take your strip of "tape" and tape the knotted end of your string to the top of your earbud.
5. You can either use a clipboard for this step or do it my way. Because we didn't have one I just used a close pin and a notebook.
7. Put the end over the rest. And I kind stick my finger here just help.
8. Stick the end up through the loop you made and slide the knot up to the top.

Haha I thought this was funny
October. This is one of the peculiarly dangerous months to speculate in stocks. Other dangerous months are July, January, September, April, November, May, March, June, December, August and February. ~Mark Twain
