Celebrating Eucharisteo

Yeah, I know this post is waayyy late. But I got so behind on school, moving and maybe being a little lazy too, That now I have like four weeks of intense school! till Christmas.And when I'm not doing school I'm practicing for basketball or at basketball or trying to finish up knitting projects. (whew)
Well Thanksgiving day we had everybody over to our new house! That was fun. Ate a TON of delicious food, played cards and tried to read peoples mind ;), and even had a rip sticking contest. Rebekah won of course. But in my defense I was bare foot and hadn't ridden that thing in forever. :P So yep I talked with family, laughed with family, and totally didn't get any pictures. I might of taken some, but Jen forgot her camera and her's is so much more fun to take pics with. You don't have to stand there forever till the picture takes so it won't be blurry. But I'm saving for a much better camera than the one I have now. (I'm happy I even have a camera though ;)
Then at midnight on Thursday we went black Friday shopping! I think it was the first time any of us had gone. My Aunt was the one that made mom go. :P it was pretty awesome though. I got a Fadora I'd been wanting for a while and a really cute pea coat for only $19. So I was happy. I went in pretty much just browsing and found two things I'd been wanting.
Then yesterday we went to Jennifer's house for Jocelyn's birthday/ mom and dad's anniversary/ Mr. Z's birthday/ Thanksgiving. There was more delicious food, and a SNOWBALL FIGHT!! No, no, no. How I wish it was real snow. But we made fake snow with shaving cream and cornstartch. It was awesome though. I haven't got the pictures yet. Yep it was tons of fun.

We started a new book at church for our bible study. It's called One Thousand Gifts by Anne Voskamp. It's really a great book. You can read like the first few chapters if you click on the link.
It's pretty much what it says on the cover "A dare to Live fully right where you are". And how she does that is through Thanksgiving (Eucharisteo). You should really read those first chapters to really get it, but she starts this list of a thousand gifts she has. It's a list of everything God has given her. She sees him in the littlest details, and thanks him for the smallest things. It could be anything from a bird in a tree to the sound of her children's laughter. You should REALLY read those first chapters. Anyways as were reading this book I decided to make my own list of my own one thousand gifts I have. It being thanksgiving I thought it appropriate also. But, then I started thinking 'You know? A thousand is a lot.' But I pretty much dared myself so here it goes.

Gifts {1-5}

  1. Sisterly squeals of laughter
     2. Bright morning sunrises

     3. The quiet click of needles as we knit together

     4. Skirts dotted with flowers

     5. Steaming potatoes with large slabs of butter

And I got some really good pictures of everbody. And when I say everybody I mean mostly the babies. ;)

Isn't he such a handsome little man?

 Isn't Jennifer so pretty? And of course you can't forget little Elsie. Cute as always.

                          Sisters Forever!!!

 So yep. Were up here at Jen and Tommy's till Tuesday, in time for basketball practice.
 Things are going pretty well at the house. At least I have all the boxes un-packed in my room. :P And I'm hoping dad can put the hoop up soon at the house so I can practice! Believe me I NEED it!

K, till next time,

Trust and Hope

I know were all a little bit annoyed and maybe even a little concerned about the election. But, you know God has something planned. And let me tell you, It's a LOT better plan then we could ever come up with.
A verse that has always comforted me is {Psalm 46:10 Be still, and KNOW that I am God.}
It just really reminds me that it doesn't matter what happens God is still in control.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Plans to prosper and not to harm you, Plans to give you hope and a future."

A day turned Sunny

Have you ever had one of those days when you just have this wonderful inexplainable joy? You can help but smile and be happy? That's today for me.
If you had asked me this morning how my day was going I probably would have told you "I'm tired, I'm cranky, I don't want to do school.etc." in other words not so great yet.
Then today God sent so many things my way today to give me inspiration. Like two articles and several verses. It was like he was telling me "look what these people are doing, and going through. And you think you have a reason to be cranky!"
I would post the verses but, you probably wouldn't get why they gave me so much inspiration unless you knew my problems right now. Those verses were like answers.
And I read this blog Kisses From Katie and it totally flipped my day around.
It seems like God is always there to change my day (or attitude) for the better. And I praise him each and every day for it.

Psalm 32:11 Be Glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for Joy, all you upright in heart!
