Well my first semester of college has gone well so far. I had a bumpy start as well as a few bumps along the way too, and there are still some things I am still having to get used to, but I am making it through. One week at a time.
My boss has been more that gracious in working with me so I can be off for class and have adequate time to study. I am so blessed to have such an amazing job with such amazing people.
They are so nice to me that I want to continue to do things right and to please them. And you know, sometimes that takes a much higher slot on my priority list than it should. Sometimes I think much too long on how to do something so that they will give me a glance of obvious respect. I think too long on how to earn acceptance and reverence in the world's eyes. But wait, is that who I am supposed to be seeking my worth in?
I seem to only remember who it is I am supposed to be pleasing when I feel his frown. When I hear a deep sigh come from him as he looks at me. How did I get so side tracked yet again? Once again I ask the world to tell me my value and who I am. To define me.

2 Corinthians 12:9 "But he said to me,"My grace is sufficient for you."
God tells us that we are beautiful and that he loves us. That is why he came and gave himself for us. To show us that it is true. His grace should be sufficient for us. So why are we looking to the world for acceptance, for love. Is God's not enough?
The world may accept you for a little while, but it will be just that. Just for a time. As soon as you do something wrong that throne of glass shatters in an instant. But God's love is everlasting. Even when you fall and fail, even when you turn from him yet again, he is still there offering it out to you in his hands. He loves us for all our flaws, mistakes, and scars.
Isaiah 57:18-19 I have seen their ways, but I will heal them; I will guide them and restore comfort to Israel's mourners, creating praise on their lips.
Matthew 10:26 "So have no fear of them for nothing is covered that shall not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear him that can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your father.... fear not, therefore; for you are of more value than many sparrows."

God knows even when one sparrow falls; He says you are worth more than many sparrows.
We may feel like just pieces, but God makes us a beautiful whole.
