The weirdest thing ever is for your family to tell you, you look good in the "Punk look". That's almost like telling a boy he looks good as a princess. Of course I guess that just about describes my family.

A day at the lake

Well Yesterday was a long day. Getting up before dawn and heading to the lake for a day of fishing with the pops. It was just like old times. Even if we did only get 10 crapee. It was fun though.
I have known how to tie a gig knot and how to reel in a fish  for as long as I can remember. But every time I go fishing it seems there is always something new to learn.
I caught a couple pretty large drums but dad said their not very good to eat. But I'm pretty sure we caught every kind of fish in that lake. lol We just couldn't keep them.
I got to snap a few pictures of the landscape and the crowd too. :)
 The dogwoods are beautiful this year
 I'm not sure what it is with my family and not smiling but, it makes it very hard for a photographer.
 And there is my pops. The fish slayer!

 Of course then there's the evening swim. That helps all our sunburns to feel better. :)
But I just waded. I was too busy helping dad clean the fish.
And we didn't get home till like nine. And we were all falling asleep in the car so we headed straight to bed.
And now my sunburn hurts like crazy! Thank goodness for Aloe. ;)

Oh, busy as usual

So little, yet so much time. Scratch that. Reverse it.
(And I would be seriously concerned if you don't know what that is from.;)
Just got home from a long day at my Ash's house. As always lots of fun to see the kids again.
And we had  Jordan Essentials party last night. Lots of fun, yet very tiring. So I am very sleepy. (as you can probably tell from my grammatical errors) And I have a big day of fishing with the pops tomorrow so I better go get some sleep.
Just thought I'd get on and tell you I am not totally dead yet. ;)

First attempt at photo editing

I think it turned out pretty well. What do you think?

TTFN,

Edit: Wow, everyone is probably laughing at me, it's 2012!

An update post among others..

Friday...What a day. Full of babies and school and other than that just lounging around mostly.
But that night Jenn and Tommy asked if Rebekah and I would like to go on their "date" with them.
But you might not know what their idea of a date is. Like going to the store getting two half gallons of ice cream to share between the four of us. Then heading to the park to sit on a slide and eat it all. Mmmm..... so good. And I am proud to say Jennifer and I finished our half gallon tub. Though I might have felt just a little sick afterward. lol  Pretty normal night. With Rebekah embarrassing me every five minutes like usual.
I think we all had maybe a small sugar high. Especially Rebekah. She had the window down on the way home, and was pretty much screaming the whole time! Then when we got home we watched "When In Rome". Pretty good movie. Ahh good times.
Anyways enough telling you about my strange family.

I have been pretty camera crazy this spring, taking at least 10 pictures of every flower in our yard.
So I decided to share a few of my favorites.
                                              My favorite flower. An Easter Lillie!

 I'm not sure what kind of flower this one is.

                                           This one is a type of flock

There's just something about chillin' under a tree.
Well as usual busy so gotta go.

Rebekah's budding busness

Rebekah has started making and selling custom made coasters. So I decided to help her get going and help advertise. They are: $1 each or 4 for $3.  You can pick your own colors too. So if you need coasters you can let her know. :)

TTFN,

Beautiful Sunday~ and more

Sunday as you will probably remember marks the beginning of having the babies here. Quite an adventure already.
Well to start the day out we got up and fed and took care of  them. Then Mom and Tommy took Jenn to the hospital. So began the episode of full time aunts. As soon as lunch was over and the dishes done we took the kids for a walk it being such a beautiful Sunday. And we got back just in time for as soon as Malachi's little head hit the pillow he was zonked. And of course you can't have such a nice day at the Toddy house and not have a water fight. It's almost impossible. It usually starts with a friendly squirt then somewhere along the way it turns into a full fledged fight. With anything within arms reach that can hold water being used.
And although I do have several pictures to show you from our "Toddy water fights" I can not. For alas our computer is broken. :( And how am I typing this now you ask? On my brothers computer. Shhhhhh he doesn't know. Mom told me I could though. So let's keep it under our hats shall we.

But the "full time Aunt" thing only lasted a couple of days for Jenn called and said she could come home! So evidently the doctor thinks the hole has completely healed. Hallelujah! We are so happy to have her home again. But she will be on moderate bed rest. But still, It's still better than being in a hospital for 70 days. No?
So that's what has been keeping me from blogging. The kids are still here and Jenn and Tommy are staying till Jenn's appointment Monday.
So much to post though. Pictures of  this beautiful spring, and also of my awesome nieces and nephews. All four actually, and also jewelry projects and stuff.
I took some awesome pictures of flowers that I am just dying to post. But I will have to try to convince my self to be patient and perhaps go do at least a little school. So behind. But catching up slowly.

A mission at home

I have often told God. Use me. And so I have been waiting for a mission that I thought just hadn't come yet. And it hadn't in the way I was thinking. Like a mission trip to Africa like Ashlee or India like Jenn. But I was looking in the wrong places. And I have found my self in a mission right now! With Jenn on bed rest I have been taking care of the kids and this is my mission. At least for the present.
Maybe eventually I will go on a big mission trip like my older siblings but right now God is using me now. Here at home. I have a few times gotten annoyed with the kids when they won't stop crying or something and even with Rebekah although I know it is all me. This is my mission that God has given me.
There is a song by audio adrenaline called hands and feet. And really it's what inspired me and even "woke me up" you might say.

Finally an update

Sorry, I know the last few posts haven't really been well updates so I have finally have a few minutes to update you really quick.
Well pretty much the usual. Scholar/blogger/aunt. Still at Jenn's right now. It's just me and Malachi right now though because Jenn and Jocelyn are in St. Louis for an appointment to make sure the seizure didn't do any harm. Praying it didn't.
We will be coming home for good Friday. Then Jen will be going to the hospital Sunday. She's not really looking forward to that. I wouldn't either though. I'd probably die. I was in the hospital once for one night.Yeah, that was enough. lol
So then after that we will have the kids for at least 10 weeks. Mom says it's going to be just like having babies again. We will have to take them to church and everywhere. This is going to be an experience.Pretty much when were not taking care of babies I will probably be doing school. So I don't know how much I will be able to post. But I'm kind of looking forward to it though. It's kind of like school. Sort of preparing me for my future motherhood.
I have soooo much to post though. Like week old ones. I'll post whenever I get the chance though.
Well I better go get that laundry out of the washer before the little man gets up. :)

No. Read it again.

Say them to a parent, because Mom or Dad will be signing the paper stating you completed the entire challenge.
What if I’ve already memorized 1 Corinthians 13?
Then memorize it in a different version of the Bible.

I play sports and am already physically active. Does that count?
If you have sports practice or games, you may count that as your exercise for that specific day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you have any questions you can ask. Oh, I noticed under the FAQ's that it says to say the verse to your parents so they can sign the papers. I am just doing this for fun. So no papers involved.
I'm starting Sunday just in case your interested.
God's hands
By now most of you have probably heard of Jocelyn's recent seizure. Quite a frightening experience even though I wasn't there. If Jen hadn't thought Jocelyn was making odd noises for sleeping... Well I thank God for a mother's instinct.
As soon as Jen called us we headed to Rolla. That was a relaxing drive.
But it gave me time to think and to remind me yet another time that God is in control. Nothing happens unless he wants it to.He knew she was going to have that seizure and he knew that she was going to be okay even if I didn't. It was definitely a time of trust. Something I have really been working on lately.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.
A tasty meal
So I think I have now made my very first German dish.Jennifer and I that is.
 German Bierocks.
They were pretty good. You just cook some meat, and cabbage, and onion and spices all stir fried
 and then you wrap all that up with the dough you made previously
And then you cook them.
 Here is the recipe we used mostly http://allrecipes.com/recipe/pams-bierocks/ if you want to try them.
Of course we added our own stuff to the filling also. Garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and other things.
We let our inner chefs come out. Well mostly Jen's. lol I am not that great at improvising.
 And all this turned into a very tasty meal. :D
Modern Abolition
A friend of mine recently posted something on her blog that was Eye-opening! Just Wow! Please read.
A lot of ignorant people think that slavery is a thing of the past, a shadow that is no more.
But it is not, and today there are millions of mostly women and children daily being sold into slavery.
In the last few years more than ever the few educated ones have been working very hard to educate the rest of the world about this great evil. They are becoming the voice for those in bondage, and the shining knights in armor to defend the defenseless.
Please read this articles and pray for those in slavery every day. If each and everyone of us as Christians begin to pray and get the word out we can start helping a movement to break off the chains. Also, please share this with anyone else you know, it is a serious problem, one that cannot be ignored.
"Now is the time to move" We are the body of Christ. The hands, the feet, and the mouth.
Psalm 68:5-6 says:
'A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity'......
Jocelynisms
Some of Jocelyn's words are so funny and sometimes random. I just thought I'd post a few.
For hammer she says "hun diger". Not sure ware that came from.lol
And she says taco pie "O tie."
Oh, and she is saying some sentences now. Like "Ummm Iee (Ivy), I need drink."
It's not as funny unless you hear her say it though. Her vocabulary is expanding so fast it's crazy! But I guess they all have to grow up some time. :( Nooo Why can't they just stay little and cute?
unp,
100th post!!
Well............ I had been planning this awesome speech, now it sounds really stupid. lol
Well thank you dear readers for following me along on this life journey of mine. It can be boring at times, but it has it's moments. And that is all I can think to say. What do you say in these posts?
fkos, (feeling kind of stupid)
What do you think?
So gave the blog a total new look. I recently saw grey and yellow on an object and I really liked it. So I decided to try it.  Sort of venturing into the unknown, if you know what I mean. So what do you think?
Truthfully because I am not sure I like it.
Obviously I will change my blog signature soon when I have time. But, how about everything else?
