"Meet me in St. Louie, Louie...

meet me at the fair"
Yep, I'm headen to St. Louis tomorrow night with Jenn and Tommy and the kids till either Thursday or Friday. So anyways just thought I'd get on and give an explanation for not posting this week probably. So off to do a little school. I would have finished school this week but, now I won't because I have to leave. Oh, stinkerpoodles!

unp,

P.S. I knew there was something else I wanted to say. We went to the river today. The first river trip with the fam! I got some awesome pics of Malachi and pop but, don't have time now to post them. So anyways.... yeah, this post was pretty much useless.

This song came on the radio today and I just thought wow. His love IS so amazing isn't it?
You know it's funny they played this song. Because that is exactly what I needed to hear today. Somehow God gets the message through right?

Randomness

Wow, today just felt like blogging Wednesday. For pretty much everyone I know had posted something when I got on, and it just felt like I should say something. Hmmm... I don't have much to say about what I have been doing but a TON to say about the things I should be doing. lol
Like:
  1. Probably getting caught up on school so I can finish by my hopeful end date.
  2. clean my room. It really needs deeply cleaned. (eek I think I am taking too much after my mom.)
  3. Finish that dress I'm sewing. I have to wait for mom for that though.
  4. Do several crafts that I want to do, that are clogging up my email and pintrest.
  5. Then something I want to do (not really a need though) is have a photo shoot and try and get a good picture for the blog. It is hard to take self portraits though. Have you ever tried it? There is always something wrong. Whether it's lighting or some other thing. Oooo Maybe Rebekah will help me.;)
Wow, looking at my list it doesn't seem near as large as it felt in my head. Anyways the kids are still here and I think Malachi needs help.

Amazing

In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
~Psalm 56:11

I have always been amazed when I read about all the martyrs that died for Christ. That they could have such faith as to die for what they believe. It makes me hope and pray that if I was ever in a situation like that, that I would also have as much faith. It really makes me look at myself and ask "would I be able to do that?"
I wonder if one of them has ever found comfort in this verse. I know I do.

I GOT MY HAIR CUT!!!!!

Oh, dear, Oh, dear. I still can't believe I "took the plunge", so to speak. And let's just say: I had NO idea my hair was this curly!
So what do you think?
The funniest thing about this style: all that curl. Yeah,  it's natural!
As soon as he got done cutting it my first thoughts were: Oh my goodness, I look like my mom!lol
And Rebekah got her hair cut too.
I think it's pretty cute. Although this picture doesn't show it real well. If she was here I would take another one. But, she's not.
Short haired sisters!
Well that was the beginning of our "crazy hair day". Then after that exiting/adventurous/ frightening moment. we went to my little bro's first baseball game of the season. He did awesome. Always alert, made some awesome hits and was of course a little speedy Gonzales.

Then today Mom and Rebekah went to take the babies up (I still call them babies, but Jocely is turning into quite the little toddler) to Jenifer and Tommy in St, Louie for the weekend. And Rebekah is staying too. I so would have went (I snatch up every moment I can to spend with adorable little Elsie) too, but Silas is sick. So Yep, him and I are just chillaxin' today. Playing some games on the computer, Me doing  school, and a bunch of other stuff.

Today I was walking along and saw this dandelion lying on our deck and thought "that would make a great picture." So that little dandelion was lucky enough to get featured on my blog.

See? I told you one of these days I would be able to just type and type and you could read and read to your hearts content. How was this for size?

Me again

So I was surfin' the web trying to make my blog unique, me, and pretty, And..... I know what your thinking. I thought she had barely enough time to post. What is she doing just messing around? And really I surprise myself. I should be doing a million things but it's when I think like that, that nothing gets done.
So as I was saying (as I was enjoying just a little down time) I came across these awesome pictures. And I just had to post them.

Their all So true right? Just some great things to remember.

I found these, as I said, When I was trying to do some stuff to my blog. So if there is something weird placed here or there or that doesn't mach, bear with me. Blog under construction. And most likely I won't be able to get it done today. What with kids, parents, and such. I hope this will be the time when I actually make my blog where I don't want to change it.

unp,

The simple Gibson tuck

I recently found this easy and pretty style on , Yes my favorite sight, pinterest. It's pretty cool.
(Can you tell I have been going pretty crazy with my new editing system? lol)
Mine didn't turn out as well as the tutorial. Which is HERE. But I still think it's pretty good. If  my hair wasn't so fuzzy. And I found out it's very hard to take a picture of your self. I finally ended up using a window.
I definitely agree with her though. I think this style would be a little easier with shorter hair. But I still love it. I Love the Victorian sort of look.
Well still have some school to do before the kiddo gets up. So I better go. Man it seems I never have much time when I get on here. Next time though. Next time I will be able to get on here and type and type and you can read and read to your hearts content. Maybe I will even be able to get my #2 blog caught up too. I have two, yes two books to post. I know I'm behind. Soon though soon.

So evidently a couple posts got mixed up so "Satyin' at the Mc'd" comes first Then "And I'm back".

Stayin' at the Mc'D

Sitting  here, Waiting for my turn to go get some ice cream from the kitchen absolutely no food allowed in the rooms and the kids are napping so one of us has to stay up here, Thinking I really should post something on my blog. So I got on here and now here I am rambling ( for not the first time) and trying to find something actually worth while to say.
Oh! It's my turn! I guess that worth while post will have to wait.

And I'm back!

Back. But it seems I can't get a break from these kids. For now they have followed me home. Yep Jocelyn and Malachi are back again. It seems that break will have to wait. Truthfully though I don't mind.
Elsie is doing great also! I seriously don't think she'll have to stay as long as they say. And Jenn and Tommy are doing well too. House hunting. Fun fun. I can say I do not envy them. ;)

I have been finding a bunch of cool things on pinterest. Crafts, funnys, etc. And if you don't know what that it is, it is a awesome sight that you should definitely try out. I found these cool pictures there and thought I'd share them.

So it's okay to be addicted to coffee? Awesome!!

{"Praise God.....

.....from whom all blessings flow."}

Here is the most exciting post ever that should have been posted a week ago, but do to certain predicaments and busyness, has remained just a thought in my head.
I guess I said something about it sort of in my other post, but that doesn't count. Because to do it proper it should have had a big title saying:
Elsie is Here!!
And of course a awesome picture edited by me!

Isn't she sooooooooo cute? I can't wait to see her! Yes, my little niece is already exactly 8 days old and I have not seen her! So impatient. But Tuesday it's for sure now. We'll go up Tuesday and then I get to stay till Saturday!! Looking forward to spending the week with Jen, and Tommy, and....... all those other kiddos. (too many to individually name).
Well with the babies it makes it very hard to get school done so while their in bed I might just go do a little history. (Almost done. Yes!)
Have an awesome rest of your Sunday.

A confession

I have a confession to make. I've been somewhat hesitant about sharing my faith on my blog. I know that probably sounds horrible and is, but it's true.
It's really been weighing on my mind lately. I think one of the reasons I'm hesitant is I'm afraid what others will think of me. Will think of my faith. So I was thinking about it and looking at the name of my blog. "Ivy's look on life", and realized this blog is supposed to be where I share my "look on life". And doesn't my faith effect how I look at life like a lot? So I hope to, in the future, write things or turning points that effect how I look at life, And just about my journey down this straight and narrow road. I have also added a new page with some of my favorite verses. In this way I hope to be more open about my faith. One more step, I hope, in the direction to being the girl God wants me to be.

Full-time aunts again?

Yes, But this time I think it's for real .For those of you who don't know yet, it's the most exciting news ever,  Elsie's here!! (Jenn's baby) She was brought into this world Saturday. I have not yet seen her, because I stayed with Jocelyn and Malachi while Rebekah and mom went up to see her, but as soon as I do Friday I will post some pictures and details. It's annoying me to death that I have another niece and I can't see her! Trying to be patient. :)
Anyways so yep, We have the kids and Mom is still up in St. Louis with Jenn. Not felling real well if you will pray for her. Of coarse, is any one feeling well after a c-section? She is supposed to get discharged tomorrow and then we will see what happens next. Elsie, so they say, is doing great! But she will have to stay in the NICU for a few weeks. Medical names are so intimidating. lol
Well better go.
