Can't you just feel your brain expanding?

With all the new words I can help you learn? Like this awesome one:
pettifog \PET-ee-fog\, verb:
1. To bicker or quibble over trifles or unimportant matters.
2. To carry on a petty, shifty, or unethical law business.
3. To practice chicanery of any sort.
Words are just something I can never see my self ever getting tired of learning. :) Words are something you can use all through life. Whereas if you are just planing on being a housewife you won't need say math really, except for simple cooking measurements. Please tell me you agree and I am not just being a nerd.

#7 things to do when your bored

Have you ever been like so bored your like just sitting there thinking maybe someone will get on gmail to chat with and like no one does? And you sit there for like half an hour? (No thanks to buzz. :'(Yeah, That's me right now. So I have decided to come up with a list of things that might not sound boring when your bored.

My #7 things to do when your bored

1. Call a friend. Seriously who doesn't like talking to friends?

2. Make prank calls to all your friends. It is so fun to hear their reactions!(Not that I have ever done it) hehe

3. See how fast you can read fox in socks by Dr. Suess. That book is such a tongue twister.

4. Go for a bike ride. One of my favorite things to do in summer or winter.

5.Try and see how many glasses of water you can drink at once. Rebekah and I did that once. It actually made us feel sick for a little while.

6.Look up random youtube videos.

7. As a last resort call or email me! I am probably bored too and staring at the computer waiting for someone to get on. Again.

I just thought this was kind of funny

A bookstore is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking.

unp,

Home....

Well we are home again for the weekend, And again I have lots of history and other school things to get done. But I figured I would get on real quick and wish my awesome, cute, (there are so many adjectives for him) a happy first birthday. I can not believe he is One!
I remember when Jen first told me she was pregnant! What an exciting day!
                              Happy Birthday Buddy Boy!!

I got some pictures and videos of his birthday party, but their on Jen's camera so I might post them when I get them.
Well, I guess I better go do at least some of that school piled up on my desk. (sigh) School can be fun but it's a little harder to enjoy when you have to read for hours in the same day. Greeks, Romans, Einstein, variables, There are so many things going through my brain I have no idea how I am going to remember all this. But, at least I can look at the bright side and see how boring life would be without school. My n&ns (nieces and nephews) keep me on my toes though.

2/22/12 :)

(To bad it isn't 2022 :P) Not much has been happening. Still at Jen's. Jen is still on be rest but that does by no means mean she isn't doing anything! I found out she can give orders just as well from the couch as standing. Jk She has been doing lots of stuff from planning a baby quilt for the coming little one to cooking. Yes cooking from the couch. lol
Well I better go do school while the kids are asleep. Well one of them. Rebekah has Malachi outside enjoying this beautiful sunny day. I really want to go join them but school first. :( Got to get that done.

Happy late Valentines Day!

We don't normally do anything for valentines but this year we did a special breakfast. I  made cream puffs and strawberry smoothies. And each of us had a valentine. I had Malachi, Rebekah had Jocelyn and of course Jen had Tommy.
 Breakfast was yummy!

And Jenn made some table decorations.
Malachi liked the whip cream. lol Isn't he so cute?
Well can't stay long. Just got on to tell you Happy valentines day! <3

unp,

The sky has dropped tiny frozen water droplets down upon us!

(aka snow) Have you been enjoying this snow as much as I have? I seriously doubt that is possible. I have been waiting for this snow all year! There is no way I was going to miss out.
So right after the babies ate breakfast we got them and our selves all bundled up and headed out!
And I took some pictures with Jenn's camera.(forgot mine.again. lol)

 There's Rebekah sledding.
Have you ever studied a snowflake? They are so small! And the detail is so intricate.
It is definitely another example of God's beautiful creation.
More of nature.

Jenn and Tommy's beautiful driveway. I love this road. I think I have taken a picture of it in every season. lol

But alas. The snow has come and gone almost as quickly as it came. Now we are stuck with muggy rain. Bleh! But at least it came. I had almost given up hope that we wouldn't have one before summer.
So now I should probably get some sleep before I have to get up at seven with Malachi. (groan) (but happy groan) Is that possible?

Oh, Crazys!

Where do I start?! So much to say! Well I am going to sum up the beginning to Jen is on bed rest for five weeks due to pregnancy problems. (more details maybe later) So Rebekah and I are going to be here every week Monday-Friday. Helping Jen with the kids, keeping things cleaned up,Doing school, and such. Then we will go home on the weekends where I will do a whole week of history in two days! (since Ben and I are doing the same history) That's going to be a lot of reading.
Jen is really prone to infection right now so Rebekah and I won't be going to party's or church or anything for a while. So we won't get anything that might make her sick. Which kind of stinks but I am glad I can help Jen.
So yeah, all those pictures I need to post and things I need to tell you I may not be able to for a while. But I will soon.
Everyone is being so nice though. Volunteering to bring meals and such. Thanks everyone. Greatly appreciated!
We will see how the blog posts go. May be a while.

 Unp,

P.S. Please keep Jen in your prayers. Thanks!

A little from Sunday service

Ephesians 6:13-17 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefor, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of spirit, which is the word of god.

Thinking of what to say

It's funny I don't know what to say. (Which isn't unusual for me I guess.) So much has happened I don't know where to start.
Well I suppose I could start by explaining my silence. But then where do I start? There have been a few things keeping me from blogging.
Well I guess at first from Monday to Friday dad was away on a business trip to to Canada and he took the computer with him. Which he said Canada was awesome by the way. He go to go to a really awesome restaurant and got to see the Canadian side of Niagara falls. I Will post some pics soon.
And the second obstacle We were actually in St. Louis the day he got home. (Mom has declared this sewing month so we got some material. Excited :) And when we got home we all watched Courageous! GREAT movie. Funny, family friendly, and awesome morals. For parents and kids. I am wondering if the movie was inspired by the Casting Crowns song Courageous or vise-versa. if you haven't  listened to the Casting Crowns song you should. It's pretty good.
Anyways next obstacle Saturday. I got up with a huge to-do list. And I got pretty much nothing done because no sooner had I taken a shower and eaten breakfast then I found out we were going to an S&T game in Rolla. It was around 12:30 (Yes I was slow getting around. It was a Saturday!) so we left like immediately (last minute planning.) and made it just in time for the girls game. Which was pretty good. Then we stayed for the guys game too and it didn't get over till around 4:30 then we went out to eat at Alex's then went to some friends for a few minutes that just moved to the area so we didn't get home till around 9 and then I just went to bed.
So that was why I didn't post Saturday.
Then I was planning on posting yesterday after church then dad decided he wanted to watch the super bowl so he ran to Wally-world to get a special cable so we could watch the game online. As you probably know that didn't get over till 9 then I went to bed. (I can't believe the Giants won!)
Then today was school and as soon as I got done with that we left to come to Jen's to babysit.
So here I am taking care of babies, listening to music and relaying my life's events to you.
I have soooo much more to post, pics too. But since I am at Jen's I can't right now. So you will have to be satisfied with this short , actually LARGE post. lol So I hope you have a great rest of your day.

God Bless,

Scripture memory

Micah 6:8 He has showed you, oh man, what IS good,
And what does the Lord require of us,
                but to do justly,
                to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with your god?

I have always loved memorizing verses. And this one really does just sum up "What the Lord requires of us."  There is no deciphering, he doesn't beat around the bush, it's just there. Plain and simple. This is what the Lord requires us to do.
In the previous verses it says:

6Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?
7Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

And he says I have already showed you what is good. Do it.
